Romance Novels

An academic's life does not always have to be about speaking, publishing, and consultanting. The truth is I am a sucker for a great romance. When I was a girl, I would read romance novels (the clean cut versions) in my room and be propelled to a world of happily ever afters. So, when I wrote my first romance novel in 2014 it was a lifelong dream come true. My confession is that my second romance story was an absolute floop. When I found time in my schedule to sit down and complete a deep revision, I was so bored with the storyline, I wanted to throw away all printed copies of the book. I am still trying to find ways to make it disappear. Since 2023 is the year of redemption, I am committed to writing a novel I can be proud of. Today, May 19, 2023, I am committing to having completed the first three chapters by July 13. My plan is to pitch the book idea at the RSJ Romance Convention.
